Buchanan vs. Bakersfield: Players to watch, quick hits, series history

The No. 2 Buchanan Bears are set to host the No. 7 Bakersfield Drillers in a quarterfinals matchup on Friday night. This will be the two program’s first meeting since Bakersfield defeated Buchanan in the 2016 playoffs by a score of 44-14. Buchanan finished second in the TRAC this season and officially ended the season 8-2 after Narbonne High School had to forfeit all their wins from this season. Bakersfield is coming off of a first round win over Clovis East and currently sits at 6-5.
